as i sat alone back against the concrete wall, the august night wind roared fiercely
another arguable length frock failed to keep the warmth, as i struggled to refuse the temptation of heading back inside to the noisy crowd
the moonlight may have read my thoughts, as it hid behind a cloud, leaving me alone in the darkinside, the music from the room and chatters of new acquaintances filled the atmosphere
yet, the exciting ambience seemed to be drifting away as i reached for my phone
why i felt that way, i didn’t understand, but it felt familiarpeople’s laughters seemed to eat away my last feelings during an occasion such as this
i, somehow, managed to remove myself from the rest, the crowd, the noise
there always seems to be a line that i choose to step over and watch the world from the outsidehere, on the other side of the line, the other world can be seen and heard, but not vice versa
those more observant attempts to lead me back to the other side
they succeed sometimes, physically, yet my heart and mind don’t seem to follow.
